Spring Photo Shoots

In between all of these rainy days and both of my girls travel soccer games and practices...I have been able to get a few sessions in. It has been great to do what I love for so many years!  Some how I end up with the
most amazing clients!  I truly consider all of them friends.

Alexis Mason Senior Pictures

I went into Lima, OH this weekend (my home town) to visit my 87 year old grandma.  She is in the hospital with double pneumonia.  She is now doing great and working towards a full recovery...what a strong women:)  While I was in I spent about 30 minutes with my sister and niece.  She wanted a few images in the winter setting to add to her senior picture portfolio...here is a sneak peak.

Alli & Alex Wedding | Indianapolis Wedding

Alli and Alex were married on January 12, 2013 at Indiana Statehouse.  We enjoyed temperatures in the 50-60's that day.  We couldn't have planned a more beautiful day for January.  Their reception was at Fountain Square Theater...which is always one of my favorite locations.  After posting their pictures Alli sent me such a sweet email:

"I have them now!!!! I'm already in tears looking at them!! Your work is incredible. I feel so blessed to have had you there that day!"

This is why I love weddings!  It allows me to capture one of the most important days in someone's life.  I always want my clients to have that feeling after viewing their images.

Thank you Alli and Alex for allowing me to be part of your special dayJ

LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE

Hello friends!  I'm back...It's been a crazy year!  For those of you that didn't know, I was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer this past summer.  I have had 3 surgeries in 4 months all while running a business with a full schedule and being a wife and mom.  I'm sure there are many people who can relate.  We all have our own journey...no matter what it looks like.  The good news is that it was a very small, slow growing tumor that had not spread.  I am truly ready to move on with enjoying my life:)  The realization that none of us know how long we have on earth with our loved ones makes me want to live life with more love, more laughter and more compassion.  I will not only be using this blog for my photography, but also as a journal of my journey in life.  I will be writing about my journey as a Christian, wife, mom...soccer mom, republican and breast cancer survivor.  I'm sure I could and will find more categories, but I will stop there for now:) I hope you will follow me and you will feel free to comment, ask questions or just enjoy reading.  Maybe...just maybe I can inspire someone or I can be inspired by someone:)

This week I wanted to start with remembering my friend, neighbor, and my children's bus driver Joyce Mora.  She lost her life to cancer this past week.  She will be greatly missed.  She allowed me to come into her home approximately 3 weeks prior to her passing to capture images of her and her family.  I hope that these images gave her some peace in her last days that she will live on forever and her family will always know the love she had for them.  RIP Joyce Mora.  Thanks Bill Mora for allowing me to start my blog up this year with these images of your family.
