Hello friends! I'm back...It's been a crazy year! For those of you that didn't know, I
was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer this past summer. I have had 3
surgeries in 4 months all while running a business with a full schedule and
being a wife and mom. I'm sure there are many people who can relate.
We all have our own journey...no matter what it looks like. The
good news is that it was a very small, slow growing tumor that had not spread.
I am truly ready to move on with enjoying my life:) The realization that none of us know how long we have on earth with our loved ones
makes me want to live life with more love, more laughter and more compassion.
I will not only be using this blog for my photography, but also as a
journal of my journey in life. I will be writing about my journey as
a Christian, wife, mom...soccer mom, republican and breast cancer survivor.
I'm sure I could and will find more categories, but I will stop there for
now:) I hope you will follow me and you will feel free to comment, ask
questions or just enjoy reading. Maybe...just maybe I can inspire someone
or I can be inspired by someone:)
This week I wanted
to start with remembering my friend, neighbor, and my children's bus driver Joyce
Mora. She lost her life to cancer this past week. She will be
greatly missed. She allowed me to come into her home approximately 3
weeks prior to her passing to capture images of her and her family. I
hope that these images gave her some peace in her last days that she will live
on forever and her family will always know the love she had for them. RIP
Joyce Mora. Thanks Bill Mora for allowing me to start my blog up this year with these images of your family.
